Rumah Terbalik (Upside Down House)
West Coast Division | Tuaran | TamparuliTurn your world upside down when you visit this unique house in Tamparuli – literally! The ‘Rumah Terbalik’ (which translates to Upside Down House) is the first of its kind in South East Asia and among the five upside-down structures in the world (3 are found in Europe and another in Japan).The house was opened to the public in early February 2012 and has since been attracting visitors from near and far. The house itself is hard to miss, having been flipped upside down, with its floor facing skyward. Everything inside the house, from furniture to household appliances, hover above your head, as the ceiling is actually the floor. Visitors will notice some distinguishing Sabahan décor and features showcased in this house. In the garage, a car is parked upside down. It might seem disorienting in the first few seconds, but the fascination of it all takes over. This architectural wonder has also been included in the Malaysia Book of Records for being the first of its kind in the nation. Visitors can enjoy a meal or afternoon snack at the Rumah Terbalik Café or pick up a souvenir at the Gift Shop. Guided tours are available.

Getting There
The house is located along Mile 21, Jalan Telibong, Tamparuli. The journey by road takes approximately 40 minutes. Taxis can take you from the city centre but be sure to make return arrangements as taxis on standby may not be readily available at this location.

Meet and greet at the airport and proceed for city tour to explore Kota Kinabalu or “KK’ as it is popularly known, is a pleasant Borneo surprise, set between lush tropical hills and the South China Sea. It is the state capital of Sabah and a resort-city of exciting contrasts – vibrant, serene and hassle-free, with modern infrastructure and many attractions. Tour features State Museum, Puh Toh Tze Buddhist Temple, Wisma Tun Mustapha (formerly known as Sabah Foundation Building), and State Mosque. Drop off at Shopping Complex or Handicraft market and gather again for your dinner transfer ( recommend Kampung Nelayan with cultural dances / SEDCO seafood with self pay for meal) and then return to your hotel and overnight at 3Star Cititel Express Kota Kinabalu.

After breakfast, meet our guide at 0830hrs from hotel lobby and transfer to Sutera Jetty for your boat scheduled at 09.30hrs to Manukan Island. Free and easy or enjoy some of the water sport such as Jet ski, Parasailing or banana boat which can be arrange with tour guide or water sport staff (Pay locally). You may also enjoy swimming, snorkeling or just exploring the area.
At 1200hrs, transfer to Sapi Island and BBQ lunch will be served.
Free and easy until your boat transfer back to mainland or earlier depend on the weather.
(Activities you can do there: snorkelling, underwater seawalk, scuba Doo, swimming, relaxing etc)
Upon arrival at Sutera Jetty, transfer back to your hotel. Overnight at hotel. (B)
For dinner, you are free to go on your own.
Day 3 – Kinabalu Park& Poring Hot Spring
After breakfasts, we check out and Meet our guide and driver at 0800hrs at hotel lobby and transfer to and embark about 2 hours to Kinabalu Park. En-route stop visit the Pekan Nabalu for photo stop or buy local produces/ Handicraft.
Proceed to Kinabalu Park a botanist’s paradise was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO covers an area of 754 sq.km with an altitude range up to the summit of Mt Kinabalu standing at 4095.2m above sea level. The park is home to the various species of flora and fauna. Visit the Mountain Garden (Botanical Garden) the biggest attractions at the Park. Started in 1981 this 5-acre Garden is an excellent showcase as flora from all over the Park has been replanted here. Many of these plants are not only lovely to look upon but have medicinal value too.
Lunch at Kundasang Area. ( self pay)
Proceed to Poring Hot Spring. Upon arrival, experience the Poring forest canopy walk and see the spectacular view of tropical rainforest from 100-200ft above the forest floor lead by our guide. The trail is quite steep and the walk takes 30-40 minutes altogether.
Enjoy an invigorating mineral bath in the outdoor tubs based on first come first served or just explore the area.
Pack all your belongings and return to Kota Kinabalu then drop off at airport. (

MALIAU BASIN
Sabah's Lost WorldNature explorers will simply love the Maliau Basin as it is an excellent site for jungle trekking and bird watching. It contains an unusual assemblage of 12 forest types, comprising mainly of lower montane forest dominated by majestic Agathis trees, rare montane heath forest and lowland, and hill diperocarp forest. The highlight of the adventure is to trek the majestic 7 tiers Maliau Falls.Keen visitors must, however, obtain a permission to enter the Maliau Basin in advance from Yayasan Sabah. Also bear in mind that Maliau Basin is a remote, atavistic and isolated area with limited access, communications and safety facilities. Activities Nature explorers will simply love the Maliau Basin as it is an excellent site for jungle trekking and bird watching. At night, visitors may also take a night drive for wildlife spotting. Water babies can also take a dip in the beautiful waterfall.
